Janet Howkins is a plaster casting artist based in the North West, UK, specialising in producing Botanical Cast Collections.  Janet’s work captures the raw detail of nature using clay to create a plaster bas-relief of plants and flowers.  Her work exhibits the natural seasonal changes to plant life cycles, capturing botanicals from locations of historical interest and producing work influenced by Victorian Flower Language and Folklore.  Each individual cast Janet creates narrates a story within the bold, beautiful, timeless floral designs.
